Canterbury Chartham Garden Centre
Canterbury Chartham Garden Centre is situated on the A28 just outside the historical city of Canterbury, with free parking for our customers.
There is so much to enjoy when you visit us. We have a huge range of top-quality plants, from perennials to annuals, fruit bushes to vegetables, shrubs, bulbs and seeds when in season. And all the tools and other gardening equipment you may need.
Plus, various composts (including a growing selection of Peat Free composts), fertilisers and landscaping materials. For the more aesthetic side we also have garden furniture, lighting and of course plenty of lovely Christmas items when in season! We also have wildlife food and feeders for our wild friends in the garden. Our teams can give you some great tips and advice on your visits too.
Added to this there is a homeware area, gift shop and a small toy area as well.

The Garden Centre and Restaurant are closed on 25th and 26th December, 1st January and Easter Sunday. Closing at 4pm on the 24th and 31st of December (Restaurant closing at 3pm).

Origins Pâtisserie & Restaurant
Our in-house Chef de pâtisseries believe that pastry is different from cooking because you have to consider the chemistry, beauty and flavour and be in tune with its all sourcing secret and unusual ingredients.
The love of elegant pâtisserie dates back to the time of Napoleon when elaborate confections were popularised by great chefs such as Escoffier.
Our pastry chefs have created a signature superior comestible Bundt-style cake utilising the same fine ingredients as described by Rudyard in his quote. Our pâtisserie range is indeed a little celebration in itself intended to delight and tantalise your palette.

Pumpkin Workshop
Join our Pumpkin Carving Workshop this Halloween. Enjoy a fun-filled family experience, as little ones create their own pumpkin masterpiece to take home, with everything provided.
Every child will also receive a Halloween treat and an LED tea light to make their creation glow safely at home.

Festive Events at Canterbury Garden Centre
Santa's Grotto - This Christmas, enjoy the magic of a classic festive tradition. Step into Santa’s cosy grotto, where children can meet Father Christmas and share their Christmas wishes. There will be time for you to capture the all-important photo, and each child will receive a gift to take home from Santa himself.
Christmas Afternoon Tea - Celebrate with a festive afternoon tea of finger sandwiches, homemade cakes, and warm scones with jam and clotted cream, served with a choice of fine tea or coffee. Make it extra special with a glass of prosecco to toast the most wonderful time of the year.
Christmas Preview Evening - Thursday 22nd October 5pm to 9pm
