Little Acorns- Getting To Know Herbs at Yarnton

Little Acorns- Getting To Know Herbs at Yarnton

Come along to our fun, Little Acorns Getting To Know Herbs activity - the perfect introduction to nature-friendly gardening for pre-school children

During our workshops, we encourage children to explore the natural world through planting seeds, growing plants and nature-themed crafts. There are so many benefits to introducing your Little Acorn to gardening at an early age such as thinking about their environment and developing social skills as they have fun together.

It’s also the ideal way for children and guardians alike to make new friends!

For this activity we will be getting to know herbs through touch and smell, planting some basil seeds in our decorated pots and talking about how herbs make our food tasty.

It’s always extra fun if the children choose to dress in something associated with the theme, as long as it’s comfortable and practical. (This is not compulsory).

All materials are provided and you will also be given some nature-friendly worksheets to take home with you.

After the activity the children will wind down with a juice, biscuit, story and song.

You will also receive an attendance card and each child will receive a special certificate after attending their 5th workshop.

All children must be accompanied by one adult guardian (included in ticket price - £8.99).

Any additional adult tickets are £1.99 each.
