The Role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations, supervising staff, and ensuring the delivery of quality food.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for food production, leadership, and hospitality to develop their career within a reputable establishment. The Sous Chef will be responsible for maintaining high standards of food safety and kitchen organisation while fostering a positive team environment.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking processes
- Supervising and supporting kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to company standards
- Coordinating with team members to plan menus, manage inventory, and ensure timely service
- Maintaining strict compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene practices
- Leading by example in serving customers when necessary, ensuring excellent hospitality standards are upheld
- Monitoring cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment, ensuring health and safety protocols are followed
The ideal candidate will have:
- A solid understanding of food production processes and restaurant operations
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to commercial kitchens
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments (highly desirable)
- Strong communication skills with a professional attitude towards service and teamwork
- A proactive, hands-on approach and strong leadership qualities
