Seasonal Nursery Assistant (12-Week Contract)

Location: Blue Diamond Bridgemere Nursery
Contract: Fixed-term seasonal role (12 weeks)
Hours: Part time or full time (flexibility required)

Blue Diamond Bridgemere Nursery is looking for reliable and enthusiastic Seasonal Nursery Assistants to join our horticultural team for a 12-week seasonal period.

This role suits individuals who enjoy hands-on work, have an interest in plants or gardening, and are comfortable working at a fast pace in a structured nursery environment. The work is physical and carried out both outside and in greenhouse conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting with the planting, potting, watering, and general care of plants

• Working on production lines, maintaining a high and consistent work rate while meeting quality standards

• Working on the despatch line, labelling, and packing plant orders accurately and efficiently

• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and presentation across the nursery

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have an interest in gardening or horticulture, though this is not essential

• Be physically fit and comfortable working on their feet all day in a repetitive production environment

• Have the ability to follow and carry out instruction

• Be reliable, punctual, and able to work efficiently under time pressure

• Have good communication skills in English

• Be organised with good attention to detail

• Be able to work well both independently and as part of a team

• Be happy working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions

Additional Information:

• This is a short-term seasonal role, and consistent attendance throughout the 12-week period is important

• It is advantageous if applicants have no pre-booked holidays during the contract
