Hours: 42.5 hours per week, full-time, including alternate weekends

The Role

As a Garden Leisure and Christmas Department Supervisor, you will support the Department Manager in delivering an exceptional retail experience. You will lead by example, motivate and manage your team, and ensure the department maintains high standards of presentation and customer service.

This is a hands-on role where you will take ownership of daily operations and seasonal transitions, including the shift from summer leisure to the Christmas period. You will also drive sales performance, profitability, and a memorable shopping experience for every customer.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team to deliver outstanding customer service

• Support the Department Manager in daily operations and seasonal transitions

• Maintain high standards of visual merchandising and product presentation

• Ensure stock is well-presented, replenished, and ready for customers

• Foster a positive, professional, and productive working environment

• Drive sales performance and contribute to departmental profitability

• Act as a role model in customer-first service and attention to detail

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience in retail or garden centre supervision, with proven leadership skills

• Passion for seasonal products, garden leisure, and customer service

• Confident and able to work on your own initiative while supporting a team

• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards

• Flexible, positive, and reliable, with the ability to work weekends

• Excellent communication, organisational, and team management skills
