Hours: Full-time, alternate weekends
Salary: Competitive – dependent on experience

The Role
We are looking for a knowledgeable, hands-on Plant Specialist to support the day-to-day running of the plants department. You will play a key role in maintaining plant standards, supporting customers, and helping guide the wider team.
This role offers a clear development pathway into a Supervisory position for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities

Provide expert advice to customers on plants, plant care, and seasonal gardening

Maintain high standards of plant health, watering, and presentation

Support stock control, deliveries, and merchandising

Assist with training and supporting Plant Assistants

Lead by example on customer service and department standards

Work closely with the management team to ensure smooth daily operations
About You
-
Strong knowledge of plants, horticulture, or gardening

Experience in a garden centre or plant retail environment preferred

Confident communicating with customers and colleagues
-
Well organised with good attention to detail

Ambitious and keen to progress into a Senior or Supervisor role

Flexible and happy working indoors and outdoors
