Customer Service Assistant (Temporary – 10 Weeks) – Cardiff Garden Centre

We are recruiting for a Temporary Customer Service Assistant (10-week contract) to join our team at Cardiff Garden Centre, part of the Blue Diamond Group.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing role with varied duties across the centre and will involve regular manual handling. We’re looking for someone reliable, practical, and happy to support the team during this busy period.

Position: Customer Service Assistant (Temporary – 10 Weeks)
Location: Cardiff Garden Centre, part of the Blue Diamond Group
Hours: 14 hours per week- 6 hours on Sunday and 8 hours on Monday

The Role:

This is a varied role supporting the day-to-day operation of the garden centre during a peak trading period.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Providing friendly and helpful customer service

• Assisting customers with purchases, including lifting and carrying items

• Replenishing stock and maintaining clean, tidy, and safe shop floors

• Supporting deliveries and moving stock (manual handling required)

• Operating tills and handling transactions accurately

• Supporting colleagues across departments as needed

About You:

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Customer-focused with a positive, can-do attitude

• Comfortable with physical work and regular manual handling

• Reliable and able to commit to a 10-week temporary contract

• Available to work Sundays and Mondays
