Position: Food Hall Manager
Location: East Bridgford Garden Centre, part of the Blue Diamond Group
Hours: Full-time, including alternate weekends
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

The Role:

We are looking for an experienced and commercially focused Food Hall Manager to lead our Food Hall department at East Bridgford Garden Centre. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the department, driving sales, standards, and team performance while delivering an outstanding retail offer.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and managing the Food Hall team, providing direction, coaching, and motivation

  • Delivering high standards of merchandising, stock presentation, and availability

  • Managing stock control, including ordering, deliveries, rotation, and waste

  • Working closely with suppliers to maintain product quality, pricing, and availability

  • Identifying and sourcing local and regional suppliers to strengthen and differentiate the Food Hall range

  • Reviewing sales performance, margins, and range effectiveness to drive commercial results

  • Ensuring excellent customer service and product knowledge within the team

  • Maintaining compliance with food safety, health and safety, and company procedures

  • Working collaboratively with other departments to ensure a seamless customer journey

About You:

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in food retail management and a passion for quality food products. You will be commercially minded, well organised, and confident leading a team in a retail environment.

Essential skills and qualities:

  • Proven experience in food retail or specialist retail management

  • Strong leadership and people management skills

  • Excellent organisational and commercial awareness

  • Experience working with suppliers and managing food ranges

  • Knowledge of ambient, chilled, and seasonal food products desirable
