Position: Gardening Department General Assistant
Location: Nailsworth Garden Centre, part of the Blue Diamond Group
Hours: 40 hours per week, full-time, including alternate weekends
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

The Role:
As a Gardening Department General Assistant, you’ll play an important part in ensuring the department is well presented, fully stocked, and ready to welcome customers every day.
Key responsibilities will include:

Maintaining high standards of presentation across the Gardening Department, ensuring stock is replenished as required

General shop floor maintenance and housekeeping

Assisting customers with product advice and carry-to-car service

Using the EPOS system for transactions and stock-related tasks

Merchandising stock and supporting departmental displays

Carrying out additional duties as required by the Department Manager

Following guidelines and action points from reports and floor walks

Printing and placing POS material in relevant areas
About You:
Previous retail or garden centre experience is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided. We’re looking for someone enthusiastic, reliable, and keen to learn.
