Position: Front of House Assistant

Location: Barton Grange Garden Centre, part of the Blue Diamond Group

Hours: Part-time – 2/3 days per week, including alternate weekends (2 positions available)

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

The Role:

We are looking for a friendly, confident, and enthusiastic Front of House Assistant to join our restaurant team. You’ll be the face of our restaurant, helping to create a welcoming and enjoyable experience for every customer.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Welcoming customers and providing friendly, attentive service

  • Taking orders and operating the till, handling cash and card payments

  • Clearing and resetting tables to maintain a clean and inviting environment

  • Assisting customers with any queries and ensuring their needs are met

  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation across front of house areas

  • Supporting the wider restaurant team during busy periods

About You:

Previous experience in a customer-facing or hospitality role is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided. A positive attitude and a willingness to learn are key.

Essential skills and qualities:

  • A warm, approachable manner and strong customer service skills

  • The ability to work well as part of a team and use your own initiative

  • Good communication skills and attention to detail

  • A high standard of personal presentation and hygiene

  • Flexibility to work weekends on a rota basis
