Position: Cashier

Location: Grosvenor Garden Centre, part of the Blue Diamond Group.

Hours: Part-time – 12 hours per week including alternate weekend working- 2 x 6 hour shifts 

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience.

The Role:

We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Cashier to join our front-of-house retail team. You will play a key role in creating a positive shopping experience for our customers by delivering efficient and accurate service at the tills.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Operating tills and processing cash, card, and contactless payments accurately.

• Providing a warm, welcoming, and professional service to all customers.

• Handling returns and queries in line with company procedures.

• Maintaining a clean and tidy checkout area at all times.

• Assisting customers with bagging purchases and answering basic product or store queries.

• Supporting the wider retail team as required during busy periods.

About You:

Previous retail or cashier experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude and a genuine desire to help customers.

Essential skills and qualities:

• Friendly, approachable, and confident when dealing with customers.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling payments.

• Good communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Reliability and punctuality.

• Flexibility to work weekends, as the role is Saturday and Sunday only.
