Location: Percy Throwers Garden Centre, Thrower Rd, Shrewsbury SY2 6QW

Hours: Part-time, 32 hours per week, including alternate weekends

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

An exciting opportunity has recently arisen at Percy Throwers Garden Centre for a Houseplant Supervisor to support the day-to-day running of our vibrant Houseplant department.

The Role:

As Houseplant Supervisor, you will support the Department Manager in the daily operation of the Houseplant department, ensuring excellent plant standards, inspiring presentation, and outstanding customer service at all times.

You will be a key point of support for the team, leading by example on the shop floor and helping to deliver a welcoming, knowledgeable, and engaging customer experience.

What You’ll Do:

• Support the care and maintenance of houseplants, ensuring high standards of plant health

• Assist with ordering, stock management, and rotation of plant stock

• Help create attractive, inspirational displays and maintain visual merchandising standards

• Provide friendly, knowledgeable advice to customers on plant selection and care

• Support the supervision of the team, including daily task allocation

• Deputise for the Manager when required, including opening and closing duties

• Follow action points from reports, floor-walks, and Head Office guidelines
