Position: Food Hall Manager

Location: Chenies Garden Centre, Chenies, Rickmansworth WD3 6EN

Hours: Part time 30 hours 

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

Are you a passionate food retail leader with a flair for presentation and exceptional customer service? We are looking for an experienced Food Hall Manager to lead our Food Hall at Chenies Garden Centre. This is a key management role, responsible for driving sales, maintaining exceptional standards, and delivering an outstanding food shopping experience.

The Role:

As Food Hall Manager, you will have full responsibility for the performance, standards, and team within the Food Hall, ensuring it is commercially successful, compliant, and visually inspiring.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, motivating, and developing the Food Hall team to deliver outstanding customer service

  • Driving sales, margin, and stock control in line with business targets

  • Maintaining exceptional standards of food safety, hygiene, and legal compliance

  • Managing stock availability, ordering, waste, and rotation to maximise profitability

  • Ensuring high standards of visual merchandising and product presentation

  • Analysing sales performance and implementing actions to improve results

  • Working closely with the centre management team to support overall business objectives

About You:

We are looking for someone who is:

  • An experienced food retail manager (e.g. farm shop, deli, supermarket, or hospitality retail)

  • Commercially minded, with strong stock and margin management skills

  • Knowledgeable and confident around food safety, compliance, and hygiene standards

  • A strong people leader who can inspire, coach, and develop a team

  • Customer-focused, organised, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
