The Role:

This role is vital in ensuring that food preparation areas are hygienic and well-stocked, enabling our chefs to deliver exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for cleanliness, a positive attitude, and an interest in hospitality and culinary operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience within a busy cafe.

Responsibilities

• Washing, cleaning, and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards
• Ensuring the cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas throughout the shift
• Restocking supplies and organising storage areas to facilitate smooth kitchen operations
• Supporting the kitchen team during busy periods by helping with serving and clearing tables when required
• Adhering strictly to health and safety regulations at all times
• Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures efficiently and responsibly

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Good organisational skills with attention to detail
• Flexibility to work shifts including weekends and public holidays as required
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn about culinary operations and hospitality standards
