Position: Catering Assistant
Location: Grosvenor Garden Centre, part of the Blue Diamond Group.
Hours: Part-time 30 hours, including alternate weekends. ( 2 positions available)
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience.

The Role
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our friendly restaurant team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of our catering operations, helping to deliver a high-quality food service to our valued customers.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Serving food and beverages to customers in a friendly and efficient manner, including operating a till and handling cash/card payments.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all kitchen, dining, and service areas, in line with health and safety and food hygiene regulations.
- Washing dishes, cutlery, and all other catering equipment, ensuring adequate supplies are available for expected customer loads.
- Receiving, checking, and putting away deliveries, ensuring proper stock rotation and storage.
- Assisting with moving and setting up dining furniture as required.
About You
Previous experience in a catering or customer service role is desirable, but not essential, as full training will be provided. We are most interested in your positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Essential skills and qualities:
- A friendly, approachable manner and excellent customer service skills.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and on your own initiative.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail.
- A high standard of personal hygiene.
- Physical fitness, as the role involves standing for long periods and some lifting.
- Flexibility to work weekends on a rota basis.
A Level 2 Food Safety Qualification would be a valuable asset, or you must be willing to achieve one upon appointment.
