Position: Fashion Department Manager

Location: Nailsworth Garden Centre, part of the Blue Diamond Group.

Hours: Full-time 40 hours, including alternate weekends.

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience.

The Role

We are seeking an innovative and commercially minded Fashion Manager to lead our fashion department to new heights. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of our fashion offering, from trend analysis and buying to visual merchandising and team leadership. This is a unique opportunity to blend your passion for style with a dynamic, non-traditional retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Sales & Profitability: Drive sales and maximise profitability through strategic planning, data analysis, and effective inventory management.
• Visual Merchandising: Design and implement inspiring visual displays and store layouts that attract customers and create an aspirational shopping experience.
• Team Leadership: Manage, motivate, and train a high-performing team, ensuring outstanding customer service and a positive working environment.
• Operations: Oversee daily operations, ensuring high standards of housekeeping, health and safety compliance, and efficient stock control.
• Trend Awareness: Stay ahead of fashion trends and market dynamics, adapting business strategies in line with industry changes.

About You

• Proven experience as a Retail or Fashion Manager, preferably in a fashion or outdoor retail setting.
• Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and forecast future trends.
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills, capable of inspiring a shared vision across your team and other departments.
• A flair for creativity and a keen eye for detail in visual merchandising and product presentation.
• Adaptability and problem-solving skills to thrive in a fast-paced, varied environment.
• A genuine passion for fashion and a customer-centric approach to retail.
