The ‘Four o'clock Flower’, is the most commonly grown ornamental species of Mirabilis, a myriad of colours the cottage garden favourite that features fragrant, funnel-shaped, tubular flowers. Different coloured flowers often appear on the same plant! Flowers open in the late afternoon (around four o’clock) and stay open only until the following morning, easy to grow, hardy and reliable. Used in containers and bedding schemes, Mirabilis provide continuous colour throughout the late Summer until the first frosts.
