Native to the mountainous regions of Turkey (specifically Cilicia), it is one of the lesser-known species of Eranthis, which are more commonly referred to as winter aconites. This plant is known for its vibrant, yellow flowers that appear in late winter to early spring, making it one of the first signs of color in the garden after the cold months.
