Percy Thrower's Garden Centre
Just like Percy, we love nothing better than sharing our enthusiasm for gardens and everything in them.
There's so much to enjoy when you visit us. We have a huge range of top-quality plants, from perennials to annuals, fruit bushes to vegetables, shrubs, bulbs and seeds - and all the tools and other gardening equipment you'll need. Plus compost, fertiliser, landscaping materials, garden furniture, lighting and wildlife food and feeders.

Sunday: 10am to 4.30pm (10am - 10.30am for browsing only) - Restaurants

Sunday: 10am to 4pm
The garden centre and restaurant are closed on 25th and 26th December, 1st January and Easter Sunday. Closing at 4pm on the 24th and 31st of December. *Please note that from June 31st 2025, only guide & assistant dogs will be allowed in the Garden Centre.

Percy Thrower’s Garden Centre Restaurant
Welcome to Percy Thrower’s Garden Centre Restaurant which serves up a wide range of homemade dishes on a daily basis. Ranging from an egg and cress sandwich to our very popular beer-battered fish and chips. Not to mention our display of homemade cake and freshly baked scones made in-store by our talented pastry chef.
We serve breakfast daily with a wide choice available to suit any appetite, from a full English breakfast to your choice of eggs on toast. You are guaranteed to find something to set you up for the day. Breakfast is served 9am - 11.30am Monday to Saturday and 10am - 11.30am on a Sunday.
Lunch is served every day, 12 - 3pm, with a wide variety of dishes for you to choose from. We serve a variety of homemade hot lunches from fish and chips to sandwiches and jacket potatoes for those of you who fancy something a bit lighter. Why not come by on a Sunday and enjoy our Sunday lunch menu which features two types of meat for you to choose from served with the traditional accompaniments.
We also offer a deli section you can enjoy a homemade sausage roll, scotch egg, or the quiche of the day with a choice of two salads. For those who are looking for something a little lighter, we offer a range of salads.
