Wilde about Gardening
Saturday 22nd April saw Trentham Garden Centre playing host to pop-star turned celebrity gardener Kim Wilde, who was signing copies of her latest book 'First Time Gardener'.
Kim, who studied horticulture and planting design at Capel Manor before becoming a resident designer on BBC’s ‘Garden Invaders’ created much interest to customers young and old after she signed copies of her latest book for an hour and a half. She then took part in a tour of the Garden Centre. This event proved to be highly successful and similar events will be planned for the future.
Kim Wilde secured a Gold Medal at the Chelsea Flower Show which proves she is a gardener of high calibre, a trait that Trentham Garden Centre and all the Blue Diamond Group of Garden Centres hopes to encourage within its own consumer market.
